This month I had the privilege of doing an outdoor maternity shoot in Charlotte NC. This session was special to me because it was for my daughter’s piano teacher and his wife. As a Charlotte Newborn and Family photographer, maternity photoshoots are typically how I first encounter my clients. I hope this session will be the start of a wonderful photographic journey for us as well!
We decided to do the session at a local Charlotte park that I shoot in often. The timing was everything. Not just for lighting purposes but because this was going to be a family maternity photo shoot. It was essential to pick the optimal time for their 3-year-old and balance that with a time of day that wasn’t too hot for mom to be.
9 am was the chosen time and everything went beautifully. As a mother to a 4-year-old, I knew the importance of keeping their little one entertained and allowing her to feel a part of the photoshoot. In the end, everyone had a great time and it was reflected in the images I was able to capture for them. The photos turned out beautifully, but I’ll let you be the judge of that!
